The Stoned Age

The Stoned Age began when we started masking pain.

For the last hundred years, we’ve inherited a collective belief:
if you experience pain, you take something.
A pill, a drink, a distraction, a device — anything to numb the sensation.

But this is also the story of how “relief” slowly became dependency.
How, for many of us, the chase for comfort turned into an invisible addiction —
leaving us walking around completely stoned without ever realizing it.

We try to function in our relationships, in our workplaces, in our daily lives.
But we’re running on such low reserves of energy that our connection to others —
and even to ourselves — becomes foggy.
Our time slips away. Our money leaks.
And life begins to feel like it’s happening through a haze.

We spent 12 to 15 years in school learning subjects and formulas —
yet almost no time learning about life, emotion, clarity, or being human.
We questioned the point of all that education,
but we missed the signals right in front of us:

We’ve been getting sicker, quicker.

Not because we lack intelligence,
but because we’ve never been taught to face pain, feel it, understand it,
or grow through it.

The Stoned Age isn’t a generation.
It’s a global condition — and we’re only just beginning to wake up from it.
